MAX PLATZER

ATHLETIC DIRECTOR

Max was a member of the German national team in weightlifting for more than 7 years and even belonged to Team Rio, the perspective squad for the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016. Forced to quit his dreams of becoming a professional weightlifter due to ongoing muscular problems, Max successfully transitioned from professional sport to entrepreneurial lifestyle.

His personal long-term experience as a professional athlete has lead him to a remarkable career in sports diagnostics as well as consultant, advisor and coach in the health care and professional sports business. Always challenging the status quo of performance diagnostics, Max was able to constantly reinforce and further his impressive portfolio. Amongst his clients are TSG 1899 Hoffenheim professional soccer players Benni Wallquist and Stefan Posch, the professional team of Austrian Bundesliga club Rapid Wien, as well as the handball Bundesliga squad of the Eulen Ludwigshafen, to name a few.

In addition to his entrepreneurial endeavors with his agency 24/7 Athletics, Max also gained valuable experience in Germany’s most recognized soccer agency Rogon Sportmanagement, which consults clients Firminho, Julian Draxler and Josh Brooks amongst others.

Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.

Like Marco, Max has been with Mind Game Sport Management since 2017, where he’s responsible for the physiological performance diagnosis and athletic training of our talents. His areas of expertise are physique transformation, sports conditioning, posture correction and post-rehabilitative training.

With the introduction of our three pillar program, which is based on training, nutrition and diagnosis, Max took on a key role in the continuous athletic development of our players – on and off the pitch. Since becoming a part of the team he has helped our athletes reach their optimal performance and decrease their chance of injury.

„Soccer in the US is much more physical than in Europe. My focus with athletes is not how much weight they can lift or how many reps of an exercise they can do, but rather, how well they MOVE on the field. I’ll make sure our players come in 100% in shape. Since the season in college is so short, this is absolutely vital for them to perform to the best of their capabilities.“
